Many private clinics in Kenya, especially dental, fertility and cosmetic clinics, accept payment in stages. Long treatments such as braces are often paid monthly.
Options to ask about
- Clinic payment plans. A deposit, then payments tied to each stage of treatment.
- Medical loans. Some banks and lenders offer loans for treatment. Compare the total cost of credit, not just the monthly amount.
- Sacco loans. If you are a Sacco member, a development or emergency loan may cost less than other credit.
- Employer support. Some employers offer salary advances or medical funds.
Before you sign
Ask what happens if you miss a payment, whether treatment pauses, and whether the full price is fixed at the start. Get the plan in writing.
