How we check prices
Every range on this site is built from real prices, dated, and shown as a range because no two cases cost exactly the same.
Where the numbers come from
- Published prices. Price lists on facility websites, social media pages and business profiles.
- Our own enquiries. We ask facilities for their cash price by phone or WhatsApp, and note what it includes.
- SHA tariffs. Where a service is covered, we note the official rate.
- Quotes sent to patients. When partner clinics quote patients through this site, those prices feed the ranges.
- Reader reports. People tell us what they paid. We check each report before it counts.
How a range is built
Prices are grouped by type of facility: county or public hospitals, mission hospitals, private clinics and premium private hospitals. Each range runs from the lowest to the highest checked price in that group over the last 18 months. We never publish the names of the facilities behind a range.
How often prices are checked
Each guide shows the date its prices were last checked. We aim to re-check the most-searched guides every six months.
Medical review
Pages are reviewed by a registered clinician, named on the page with their registration number once reviewed. Reviewers check that the information is accurate and safe. They do not set or endorse prices.
Independence
Clinics can pay for a listing to receive quote requests. Paying does not change the price ranges or what a page says. Enquiries go only to facilities registered with the KMPDC.
